Electrical Stimulation

Neuromuscular electrical stimulation is a technique that is used to elicit muscle contractions using electrical impulses. Therefore this technique can be utilized for pain management, aiding edema/swelling reduction, or improving muscle control as well as strength. The different type of e-stimulation works on our bodies differently; however, generally, it works via stimulating the blood vessels around the affected area to help to bring blood flow and stimulate the healing process. The therapists we provide use of very specific types of electrical stimulation to potentially speed up the healing process.
